Pic Dump, Holiday Style

Leslie and Corbin trying to knock down huge life-threatening ice cycles with snowballs.
We have had such a wonderful, relaxing Christmas break thusfar.  Corbin has been out of school for three weeks, and has two weeks left.  I'm afraid it won't be easy letting him go back to school.  We've had so much fun together, and it has been so nice having him around to help with the baby.  He's a pretty wonderful guy, and I'm glad we still get along.
Nothing better than eating cold pancakes naked while watching your favorite program, the washing machine.
Christmas was great.  On Christmas Eve I did some soul searching, since it was much quieter than I'm used to. But we got to video chat with everyone at the Birds' house, and that made it feel more like home.  After we put the baby to bed, it was fun setting out all the presents and being Santa's helper.

On Christmas day, Theo woke up a bit too early for my taste, so we all got up and thought we would have to power through.  Luckily, it was a false alarm.  Theo's Christmas present to us was about 90 minutes of extra sleep.  He really does love me! (story continues near the end of the post.  Some cute pictures got in the way)
Theo thought this Santa guy was all right.  Just not enough to hang around for too long.

Sam is very disappointing that Mango got there first.
The Gullys house was a sort of Christmas resort while they were away on their adventures.  I think it was good for the kitties.  Sam usually sticks to himself, but after a few days of no friends around, he came and chilled on Corbin's lap, where there was apparently no moving him.

Matching sweat pants and red shirts!

The nets maiden voyage!
We finally set up the table for a little ping pong!  We've left it up for almost a week now, and it has been great.
We have also been playing lots of dominos.  Corbin suggested we keep a running total.  His score is in the 500s, and mine is in the 400s.  Goodness, I have a deep and abiding love for this game.
We have been playing in the snow like champs!
When we were all a bit more rested and cheerful, we went out and opened presents.  Theo didn't really catch the vision, but he sure was cute in his Christmas pajamas. Corbin's parents and my parents were so sweet to pretty much send us Christmas. (be on the lookout for cute thank you letters!) Even the neighbors got in on the gift exchange.  Ava made a super cute ornament for Theo.  He loved it a little too roughly, though (he ate it while I wasn't looking).

We spent the rest of the day eating way too much sugar and playing all the fun games we got. I'd forgotten how many fun games we already had, and now we just have more!  We've been playing lots of games lately, and I love it!

New years eve was great too.  We celebrated with the Gullys, and man do they know how to party right!  When they walked in, They had multiple bags filled with treats.  They even brought chocolate Scrabble!  We had a heated round of Disney Trivia.  And after we clinked our glasses and kissed our respective spouses at midnight, we played some Taboo.  The ration of laughter to actual thinking was a little off kilter, but lots of fun.  I sure do like them Gullys.
The view from my backyard.  So beautiful!
The greatest part about this beautiful snow is I don't have to go out in it if I don't want to.
