Our apple picking outing

Yesterday we made a birthday card for our friend Micquel.  Theo decided standing on the table would be the perfect card-creating perch.
I've been meaning to write this fun fact for a while, so here it is.  Now that Theo is tall enough, he can reach into the kitchen drawers.  Our house is constantly scattered with forks.
Also, thank you to everyone who gave their two cents about my audition songs.  I have narrowed it down to "Johnny Angel," and "Love Letters in the Sand."

I will be auditioning for "The Taffetas" next Friday.  It's a cast of 4 women who are a 50's quartet doing their national TV debut.  It sounds very charming, and I am suuuuper excited to audition.  I have been contemplating doing community theater for a while now, and this show will be a great opportunity.  It's going to be a fund raiser for Feed My Starving Children, which is a really cool interfaith service project sending food to children around the world. Today and tomorrow will actually be a food packing event, so I'm sure you will see pictures and get a better explanation soon.
This morning we went to a MOMS club activity picking apples at a grandfather's house.

Theo had a wonderful time taking a bite out of every apple he found on the ground- which was a lot.

These partners in crime thought it would be fun to throw rotten apples into the pond... then retrieve them.
That bag ended up with at least ten pounds of apples.  We are so excited to eat them in all sorts of tasty delights!
